Born in 1972 in Cyprus, Assoc. Dr. Fevzi Kasap completed his primary and secondary education in Cyprus and his higher education at Izmir Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Cinema and Television Department. After completing his undergraduate education in 1995, he completed his Master's Degree in Cinema, TV (1997) under the Social Sciences Institute of the same university, and PhD in Cinema and TV, which is affiliated with the Fine Arts Institute (2005). has completed his education.

He started his career at the Near East University in 1997 as the İzmir Representative, and continued as the Aegean - Mediterranean Regional Representative and Turkey Coordinator.

After completing his doctorate education, Assoc. Dr. In 2007, Fevzi Kasap was appointed as the Head of the Department of Radio, TV and Cinema at NEU Faculty of Communication and the Director of Publicity and Public Relations.

Assoc. Dr. In addition to his articles published in different newspapers and magazines, Fevzi Kasap also has works in the field of cinema and television. He has many documentary films screened in national and international film festivals and television channels. “Brain Drain- 1995”, “Turkish Cinema History- 2014”, “Ahde Vefa- Umut Yolu Erenköy -2014”, “Last Women of Word: Bedia Hanım -2017” documentary films are some of them.

He also undertook the producer and presenter of the current programs "Life Art" and "Education and Life in the Near East" with the content of culture, art and science, which were broadcast on various television channels broadcasting in the TRNC for a long time.

Having scientific publications in SSCI, SCOPUS, ESCI and many international refereed scientific journals, Assoc. Dr. Fevzi Kasap's scientific studies; she continues in the fields of cinema, television, new media, culture and art. "Cyprus Themed Films in the Formation of a Culture of Peace: An Analysis of the Films Produced in the 1960-2000 Period", "Reality Shows on TV in the Context of Media Violence Relations" and co-authored "Communication and Oral History I: Turkish – Greek Cypriots in Cyprus". He has books called “Common Life”.

She has held many national and international film screenings and exhibitions. She also took part in film festivals as the head and member of the jury. Assoc. Dr. Fevzi Kasap is on the Scientific Board of the International Turkish World Press Symposium and on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Art, Culture and Communication.

Assoc. Dr. Fevzi Kasap gives many undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to his field.
